Seeing my peony garden from different viewpoints

Capturing unique perspectives in garden photography can be achieved using various accessories and techniques. One particularly striking method involves positioning a 360-degree camera beneath plants to capture immersive images from below. This approach offers viewers an extraordinary viewpoint, showcasing the intricate beauty of flowers in a way that’s rarely seen.
Last June, Peter Zeeman — a photographer and a fellow member of my local garden club — visited my peony garden with his new photography gadget: the GoPro 360 camera.
The results were nothing short of breathtaking. Through his lens, I was able to appreciate the delicate details and graceful structure of my peonies from an entirely new and unexpected angle. Quite different than the drone photo shared in another post!

Peter also used his equipment to take stunning panoramic shots, providing a completely different perspective on the garden’s lush and colorful landscape. Taken by the beauty of individual flowers, he couldn’t resist capturing a few vibrant cultivars, their rich hues and intricate forms adding yet another layer of charm to the collection.

With his permission, I’m thrilled to share some of his remarkable photos here. They truly capture the spirit and elegance of my beloved peonies in ways I never imagined possible.
